Due to Rising Concerns Surrounding COVID-19, NCAA Bracket to Remain Empty Until Tournament Field is Announced
The World Health Organization (WHO) officially declared COVID-19 a pandemic. This label combined with rising numbers of people testing positive for the virus has resulted in many colleges, offices, and other places in which people gather in large numbers to cancel events, or alter the way people meet. The NCAA announced yesterday, March 11th that both the men’s and women’s March Madness Tournaments would be played without fans. So yeah, due to rising concerns surrounding COVID-19, much like the stadiums that will (at the moment) house the games, the NCAA men’s and women’s brackets will remain empty until the tournament field is announced.
Truly, as I’m writing this I anticipate the tournaments to be suspended altogether which will result in this maybe funny headline having a very very short shelf life. Wash your hands.
